LBC Kids

At LBC, we partner with parents to teach kids the good news of Jesus so that they become just like him and go out to tell others about him—all in a safe, loving, and fun environment.

Sundays

As we say every Sunday, worshiping King Jesus isn’t just for adults! That’s why every child is always welcome to stay in the service and participate in worship. At the same time, we believe there are significant benefits for both kids and parents in providing age-specific spaces for worship and discipleship.

  • Nursery (Infants – 3 years old)

Our nursery serves infants and toddlers up to 3 years old, providing a safe and loving environment where they can grow and explore while experiencing the love of Jesus. During nursery, children are cared for, prayed over, read to from gospel books, and listen to Bible songs. Nursery is available throughout the entire service.

  • Gospel Project (4 years old – 2nd grade)

Using a curriculum called The Gospel Project, we help children understand how every story in the Bible points to Jesus. Kids aged 4 years old through 2nd grade play games, sing songs, engage in Bible lessons, and complete crafts and other activities. Children are dismissed to Gospel Project just before the sermon.

 FAQs

  • To ensure that parents are informed and children are properly registered, we have a designated check-in station. Friendly and knowledgeable volunteers register each child the first time they attend LBC Kids and print a security tag with the child’s name, allergy alerts, and an alphanumeric code. Parents will also receive a sticker with the same code, which is required for pickup.

  • Every volunteer who serves in the Children’s Ministry is a member of LBC who has undergone a background check and completed the required training for their specific area of service.

  • Any child who has displayed the following symptoms within the previous twenty-four (24) hours will not be permitted to check in to LBC Kids: fever, vomiting, diarrhea, presence of lice, a persistent skin rash (e.g., chicken pox, poison ivy, etc.), or a diagnosis of a contagious illness.

Children who appear ill or become ill will be isolated from other children, and the parent or guardian will be contacted to request that the child be picked up for the day.

  • When a child needs to use the restroom, volunteers should assist children with restroom use while respecting age-appropriate privacy and dignity. Volunteers should stand at a safe distance to supervise, ensuring that children can use the restroom independently if possible. All hands must be washed with soap before returning to the classroom.

Unless otherwise noted by parents, diapers may be changed while children are in the care of nursery volunteers. Diapers must be changed in a location visible to all volunteers. Only female nursery workers may change diapers.
