Cody grew up in Duncansville, Pennsylvania where he became a follower of Jesus through the faithful witness of his parents and local church. He earned his B.A. from Appalachian Bible College and M. Div from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Before planting LBC, he served as one of the pastors at Hamilton Baptist Church. Cody has been married to Emily since 2014 and they have four children: Ellanore, Grayson, Phoebe, and Henry.

Tom grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and became a follower of Jesus when he was 11 years old. After graduating from James Madison University, Tom went on to began his studies as a piano technician and has been in this vocation ever since. Throughout his life, Tom has been committed to the local church. During his time at Hamilton Baptist Church, the Lord deepened Tom’s love for the local church and he was installed as an elder. Having been a long-time resident of Lovettsville, Tom is eager to use his gifts to see this community know the good news of Jesus. Tom has been married to his wife Karen since 1987 and together they have been blessed with 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Dave, a native of upstate New York, became a follower of Jesus as a teenager. After graduating high school, he accepted an appointment to the United States Naval Academy and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in 1972. Throughout his life, Dave has been committed to the local church with a particular passion for international missions. Prior to joining LBC in 2021, Dave served as an elder at Hamilton Baptist Church. Dave had the privilege of raising three sons alongside his first wife, Beth, until the Lord called her home in 2008. In the Lord’s kindness, Dave married Paige in 2010, and they currently reside in Waterford, Virginia.

The music ministry of LBC exists to facilitate, accompany, and enhance the congregation to sing biblically rich, theologically sound, Christ-exalting music. The Deacon of Music works to ensure members understand this vision and are equipped to carry it out.

DEACONESS OF CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

The children’s ministry of LBC exists to support parents in showing kids the good news of Jesus so that they grow up to be like him and then go out to tell others about him. The Deacon of Children’s Ministry works to ensure volunteers are equipped to serve the children under our care in a safe and loving environment.

The Deacon of Facilities works to ensure our facility plans are capable of sustaining and expanding our current ministry as God provides the opportunities.
